  • Validity of the Certificate: 5 years
  • The annual UP TET qualifies candidates to teach primary (Classes I-V) and upper primary (Classes VI-VIII) in any Government School and in participating Privately Operated schools in Uttar Pradesh
  • No Restriction on the number of attempts
  • Frequency: Once a year

Eligibility:

Class I to V (Primary Stage) Class VI to VIII (Upper Primary Stage)

Candidates should have completed Graduation with a minimum 50% aggregate score and have a 2-year Diploma in Special Education/BTC/Nursery Teacher Training recognized by NCTE
OR
Candidate should have a 4 year Diploma in Elementary Education

Candidates should have completed Graduation with a minimum 50% aggregate score and have a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree

(Candidates with professional degrees such as BBA, BCA, B.Tech, B.E etc are NOT eligible for the UP TET exam)
