Grabaims is a not-for-profit initiative to help teaching aspirants become eligible for teaching jobs, connect them with job opportunities and help with lifelong learning. We have made a begining by providing assistance for qualifying Teachers Eligibility Test (TET).
Our mission is to make a humble contribution to an efficient teaching culture in the country. Focused on the teaching community, its needs and contribute to students' lives and society, we hope to glorify the profession the way it deserves to be.
We love teaching and have volunteered as teachers in Cambodia and India.
Samyak Mittal is Co-Founder of GrabAims. He along-with his cousin Abheeshu started this venture at the age of 21.
A young entrepreneur and an alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University (Batch of 2012), he holds an honors degree in Chemistry. Chemistry and technology being his fields of interest, he worked on a research project in 2010 at Indian Association for Cultivation of Science, Kolkata. His work in the Academy on hydrogen economy was published in Angewandte Chemie, a leading scientific journal based in Germany.
He furthered his contribution to the field of science by means of a summer research project at The University of Georgia, USA, in the year 2011. The work on tertiary butyl radicals by computational methods was published in the Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation.
Completing his graduation in 2012, he joined a leading management consultancy, as an Analyst in July 2012.
Abheeshu is Co-Founder of GrabAims and took over
driver's seat from Samyak after he decided to pursue a Corporate Career. Abheeshu is a student of 12th Grade at United World College (UWC) South East Asia, East Campus.
He has had two sprints of association with GrabAims, first from 2013 to 2015 when his key contribution was to name this venture as “GrabAims”. During this time he listened in and learnt how GrabAims was evolving.
Second association started in 2015 and continues till date. Abheeshu turned GrabAims to a not-for-profit organization and mobilized funding of $2,000 over three years to keep it running. He wants GrabAims to increase its reach to many more states in India and become a go to online resource for people seeking to be teachers in India.
Abheeshu is passionate about education as an equalizer for the society. He has volunteered as a teacher in Schools in Cambodia and India, done “Peer Tutoring”, led guidance groups for junior classes and taught one on one to neighborhood kids.
Sharanya holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from London School of Economics and Political Science. She is a Principal Consultant at National Skill Development Agency (formerly office of Advisor to PM on skill development). Having been one of the “Young Professionals” at the Planning Commission, Government of India, she understands the circumstances and needs of the country at a macro level. As the Vice President of an eminent performing arts institution, she possesses the dynamism & vigour needed to vitalize everyday affairs and inspire action. Currently, she is the Curator of the New Delhi Hub of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.
Namrata completed her B Com from Delhi University and M Com from Delhi School of Economics. She has successfully cleared Level 1 and Level 2 of CFA. She worked as an analyst in Feedback Infra, a management consultancy. She also brings a rich experience of payment industry spending valuable amount of her time in Equity Research at Evalueserve. Namrata, with her rich academic background and knowledge of finance aims to scale up the reach and operations of Grabaims.
Divya is in her second year of Journalism and Mass Communication course from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi. She is an avid photographer and hopes to build a career in photo journalism in the future. Apart from pursuing photography as a hobby, she has also executed varied photography assignments. She is an athlete and basketball player and has represented her school (The Mother’s International School, New Delhi), at various inter-school and zonal level tournaments. She is a member of the LSR Debating Society and has participated in inter-college debates. She also volunteers at the Becoming I Foundation, a Delhi-based educational NGO for underprivileged children.
Mrinalini is pursuing a bachelors in journalism and mass communication from Lady Shri Ram College for Women. She has extensively worked for underprivileged children through a local government school and Becoming I Foundation where she is currently a Project Coordinator. She is an avid reader and has a flair for creative writing. Her article was featured in the Student's Edition of The Times of India
Raghav is pursuing Bachelor of Business Studies from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (C.B.S.). He has recently earned a certification in Operations Management from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania. He is trained in 'Ethical Hacking' and knows HTML & CSS language as well. Apart from his academic excellence, he enjoys singing and playing guitar and is an organising committee member of the Music Society in his college.
