B Ed is a postgraduate professional degree offered for those who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching. B.Ed. Admission is made on merit i.e. on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying entrance examination, commonly known as CET (Common Entrance Test). The B Ed course duration is of one / two academic years, which can be completed in a maximum of three years from the date of admission to the programme. This course prepares teachers for teaching primary (classes I-V), upper primary or middle level (classes VI-VIII) and secondary level (classes IX-X).
